Day 5: Lotte Mart at Jamsil - Seoul, South Korea

Passing by Jamsil Station and find there is Lotte Mall connected to it.  Can't help but to check it out, especially since it was burning hot out in the open.  We needed to find a reason to stay in an air conditioned place.  It was also time for some food.  The mall is kind of high end.  So high, then we can't find a food court.  There are some restaurants there, none that we had interest in.  We just wanted something small, not a full meal.  Then we realize there is a Lotte Mart.  Headed straight to it to see if there are interesting that they sell at their grocery department.

Got there and realize the supermarket part isn't that big, barely anyone was shopping.  Maybe it's work hours, so no one was there.  However, there is a food court/eating area inside the supermarket with ready to eat food.  Time for a dose of fried chicken for Cho again.  There are just so many different fried food to choose from.  There were also noodles, dumplings, sushi and other ready to eat Japanese food.  Since Cho won't eat carb, I couldn't really eat carb as well.

Their portions are quite big, I can't finish alone.  We got a box of fried chicken and other fried goodies.  I thought we were crazy to get so much food for just us 2 girls.  However, when I look over the table, I saw 2 other Korean girls having a BUCKET of fried chicken and a bunch of huge ass sushi.  That didn't fill them up, so they had to eat another cup noodle.  I find it amazing that girls in Korea can eat so much and still stay so slim.  Is it because of the nonstop walking they do each day in the subway?  There's always endless stairs to climb up and down and rarely to find escalators.

There's a microwave to heat up food that were already cold.  Convenient.  Surprised their chicken was still crispy after microwaving it!

Cho love sampling food.  After she finished up her chicken, she went over for some steak tasting.  Really admire the big appetite she has.  This location didn't have many food sampling.  I guess it just wasn't peak hours for the store to open up many sampling stands.

Then it was time to stroll around outside.  Nice park for selfies.  Saw people shooting for a tv show.  No idea what show though.
