Day 4: Hua Hin Floating Market - Thailand

We thought we should get out of the hotel for half a day to go sight seeing.  We booked a car for half a day for 1,800 baht.  Floating Market was our first stop.  It's about 40 minutes drive from our hotel.  When we arrived, we realized there is an entry fee of 200 baht to this market.  We paid and got in.  It included a ticket for a boat ride.

We were really disappointed in the place.  There were much tourists there and for a good reason.  The place had nothing to see, do or buy.  The boat look so run down that there is no way we would go on it.  It feels like it would sink any time.  There are shops that line around the place.  The shops are selling random things...things that I won't need or buy.  The following are pictures of the place and it takes about 15-20 minutes to walk around once.

There are some stalls selling food, but there are so many flies around it...no appetite for it.

The only thing we bought is a bag of fish feed.  I think it was 10 baht.

There is area to eat.  But again, the place didn't look very appealing.  Then we thought about our room service....we didn't feel too confident about eating here without getting a tummy ache. We don't have a very strong stomach.

We are ashamed to say we are spoiled princess that has been living in the city for too long.  We decided to cancel all the plans we planned on going and asked the driver to get us back to Market Village where there is air conditioning and a food court where we feel more comfortable eating in.  The driver probably think we too high maintenance and probably rolled his eyes a million times.  We decided that there is no point in going to more tourist sight seeing places.  We changed to doing foot massage and our last stop fort the day would be Hua Hin Night Market as planned before.

Hua Hin Floating Market is at point G in the list Places Part 1 on the map below:
